Both the 5G5 (ATCC CRL-2633) and the B3D (ATCC CRL-2634) antibodies are reactive with a conformational epitope in the middle of the VacA protein. They recognize different epitopes within the same region of VacA.
The antibody can be used for ELISA and immunoprecipitation applications.
Complete Growth Medium
The base medium for this cell line is ATCC-formulated Dulbecco's Modified Eagle's Medium, Catalog No. 30-2002. To make the complete growth medium, add the following components to the base medium: fetal bovine serum to a final concentration of 10%.
Subculturing
Medium Renewal: Add fresh medium every 2 to 3 days (depending on cell density)
Cultures can be maintained by the addition of fresh medium or replacement of medium. Alternatively, cultures can be established by centrifugation with subsequent resuspension at 2 X 10 exp5 viable cells/ml.
Maintain cell density between 2 X 10 exp5 and 2 X 10 exp6 viable cells/ml.
