Biosafety classification is based on U.S. Public Health Service Guidelines, it is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that their facilities comply with biosafety regulations for their own country.
Animals were immunized with the glycolipid asialo GM1 adsorbed to naked Salmonella. Spleen cells were fused with Sp2/0-Ag14 myeloma cells.
Most natural killer (NK) cells and cytotoxic T cells (CTL), as well as a proportion of other myeloid and lymphoid cells express asialo GM1.
The SH-34 antibody specifically lyses asialo GM1-expressing macrophages in the presence of complement and removes NK cells in vitro from spleen cell populations. Ref
