Detects a genomic EcoRI fragment of 22 kb mapping to chromosome 3 and a genomic EcoRI fragment of 4.4 kb mapping to chromosome 18. The latter fragment is less intensely visualized in both EcoRI and KpnI digests.

Detects a major 0.9 kb mRNA and a minor 4.2 kb mRNA in human liver, fibroblasts, and a variety of cell lines. Also detects a 0.9 kb mRNA in the K1 Chinese hamster ovary cell line.
