Crry and Cr-2 are within 10 kb of each other and are transcribed in the same direction.
Spleen 5 cDNA differs from liver 10 cDNA by having an additional 129 nucleotides between the signal sequence and the nucleotides encoding the first 60 aa repeat. Spleen 5 also does not extend as far in the 5' direction.
Liver 10 cDNA (ATCC 63064) and spleen 5 cDNA (ATCC 63065) are clones of alternative splice products of the Crry gene. The mRNAs are transcribed in all tissues examined in a 10 (liver 10) to 1 (spleen 5) ratio.
